We stayed with Isabelle and Rachid during Christmas time in order to write an article about celebrating Christmas abroad with children. Our kids, aged 4 and 7, LOVED the place. They are still talking about their friend Rachid in the desert. Isabel's cooking is a nice break from the standard Moroccan fare, we hadn't realised how much we missed desert until she surprised us with her French chocolate cake one evening! I can't think of a more hospitable and down to earth couple. The place is completely laid back, and their friends who popped around to play for us in the evening are all genuinely lovely people. Isabelle and Rachid also helped us to organize an overnight camel trek in the desert. It was the experience of a lifetime, the kids loved every second, and their camel man - Mohammed - turned out to be a real laugh! He celebrated Christmas eve with us in the tent, a BIG experience for us all. Thank you Mohammed. Enjoy your stay - WE DID!
