he was closing the room, siptpong the Maid Service and having his exterminator inspect the room. When I got home, I showered in the barn with rubbing alcohol, then flea shampoo, then some nicer stuff. Burned my clothes, shoes and suitcase. Stuff I could fit into a gallon sized ziplock bag was sprayed with alcohol and run thru my oven overnight at 225 degrees. I'm very sure (praying actually) that none of them got into my house. But now I'm dealing with the darn itching cortisone and benadryl cream give a little relief, but I read on your site today to use the old Bee Sting remedy of a baking powder paste its a cheap fix but my experience with it has been use it immediately for best results or don't get your hopes up. Now, I have some redness at the site(s) and they look like large mosquito bites, no swelling. Based on the level of reaction I'm describing, would you say the itching should (please God) become more manageable soon? It's been almost a week

Hey Glenn,The Merriweathe is a very nice place to stay and its location is faatsntic. It is located just to the north of Beachplace (a local mall/restaurant complex across from the beach) on A1A- walking distance from anything on Fort Lauderdale beach. I have never did a room check at this hotel but they have a good reputation around the beach.I plan on reviewing some of the lesser expensive stays on the beach pretty soon and The Merriweathe will be included, so stay tuned.Thanks for asking,Al
